As most know the Taiwanese rendition of "Absolute Boyfriend" was originally suppose to star Wu Chun and Goo Hye Sun. While Goo Hye Sun is still attached, Chun has dropped out and the drama is once again in limbo and are still searching for their male lead. One speculation is that Chun is clearing out his schedule for his big break into the movie industry. According to Chun's manager, he had dropped out not because he" "doesn't want to act. It's because the script isn't good yet We have no clue when they will start filming and there is no set broadcast date. We are dropping out right now because we are worried that the schedule will not fit well (with Chun's movie)."

Though nothing is completely set in stone yet, there have been reports that GTV has been keyed up over the fact that he will drop out and rumors say that they might be looking towards the law. Since GTV has been cultivating Chun all this time, many have been surprised by what is happening on both sides. When the producer was asked about this situation, he showed a bit of anger saying, "Why doesn't he want to act? There are many reasons, but using the script is not right. Everyone has already said they would act already, and if he was dissatisfied with the script, then we can change it so that he is satisfied with it."

Paradise Ranch

What I love most in watching Korean drama is their family relationships. Most of the Korean dramas I've seen expressed the importance of family in our lives and for having a close-knit family ties. This drama is one of those though it's main story is about a young couple who got married and got divorced.

Paradise drama is a bright romantic drama which leave me satisfied after finishing the full 16 episodes. There are scenes that moved me and made me teary-eyed but it's not a heavy drama that will make you cry bucket of tears. I admired the families of both main characters. They really love their children that it hurts them more when their children got divorced and seen how miserable they are after the break-up. So, I can't blame them for opposing in Han Dong Joo and Lee Da Ji's reconciliation. The good thing is these kids now an adult have learned their lessons. After six years of seperation Han Dong Joo and Lee Da Ji found out that they still love each other and want to remarry but at this time they consider and waited for their families approval first. :) This drama conveyed a good lessons to the viewer.

Jang Geun Seuk and Jo In Sung brothers?!

When I’ve seen the trailer of "You’re Beautiful" I excitedly exclaimed…"hey, it’s the guy from the movie Love of South and North and The Classic!" I really thought it was Jo In Sung but it was Jang Geun Seuk. Oh, is that so? I even asked, maybe JGS is JIS younger brother? Hehehe… :D I was amazed with the resemblance. Nevertheless, they’re both pretty guys. But JIS is older than JGS. And I still watched "You’re Beautiful" even if it’s not JIS. :) Check out these photos, tell me if you agree or disagree?

You are My Pet, Jang Geun Seuk!

Jang Geun Seuk

As I was browsing the internet and came across with an article that it was confirmed that the Japanese drama Kimi Wa Petto will be made into Korean movie 'You are My Pet'. Actor Jang Geun Seuk (You're Beautiful, Mary Stayed Out All Night) will play the role of Momo, the pet and Kim Ha Neul (On Air, Road No. 1) will be Iwaya Sumire. Filming will begin on May and will take place in Korea and Japan.

Kim Ha Neul

"You can stay if you become my pet."

Kimi Wa Petto was the second Jdrama that I was delighted to watch. This is quite an odd story but it was indeed entertaining. If you're a Matsumoto Jun fan this is must watch. I was kind of surprised seeing Matsumoto Jun from being a hot-tempered and arrogant Domyougi Tsukasa in Hana Yori Dango into a submissive and cute pet Momo. He's really cute in this drama specially when he's imitating all kinds of dog poses. :D Submissive pose is the cutest. Hihihi... :)

It's just scares me if I'm Iwaya Sumire (Koyuki) and found an unconscious man lying inside a box...I definitely wouldn't bring him inside my house. What if he's already dead? Then I'll be a suspect? No way! What if he's a murderer or even a rapist? Ewww... but if it's Matsumoto Jun? I'll reconsider. Hahahaha... :D

While watching this drama, the thought of having my own Momo crossed to my mind. Wouldn't it be nice to have your own Momo? :D

Her boss demoted her by transferring her to a lower department because of being almost too "perfect". After having a terrible day at work and bad break-up with her boyfriend she went home and found an unconscious and hurt young man lying inside the cupboard box. Feeling sorry for him, she takes him into her house and nurses him back to health. As the young man (Matsumoto Jun) gets better he begins to like her place and decided not to leave. He told Sumire that he'll do anything she wanted so he could stay at her house. Jokingly, she said that he could stay if he becomes her pet. To her surprise, he agrees. She named him Momo, her childhood pet dog.

"Since when was it? That you hid your beautiful face under the guise of a man."

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a historical Korean drama with a mixture of romance and comedy. I was energized to watch this drama after seeing those charming actors with their lovable characters. Everyone of them have interesting characters and stories and every episodes are truly exciting. Hmnn...how could there be a group of friends who has it all? Good looking and intelligent guys. Ops! Except for one...he's not a guy, he's a she. And that's what the story makes it all exciting. Hihihi... :D Hiding her true identity from everybody and even falling in love with one of her roommates who happened to be the last one to know that she's not a real boy. And what could a girl ask for when those good looking guys get attracted to you though you dressed up like one of them. Woosshh! :D

I have lots of favorite scenes in this drama. One of those was in their room in the university when they already found out that Kim Yoon Hee (Park Min Young) is a girl. Lee Sun Joon (Micky Yoochun) and Moon Jae Shin (Yoo An In) were arguing who'll sleep beside Kim Yoon Hee. Hahaha...that scene was hilarious. I'm still smiling when I remember it. :D

The bed fight scene.  Who's gonna sleep beside Kim Yoon Hee? :D

And of course, there's a lot of romantic scenes between Lee Sun Joon and Kim Yoon Hee. I loved it when Lee Sun Joon puts a series of love notes in the books of the library and one of the student almost got and read the last one. He immediately grabs the book and said that he needs it. Hehehe...so much for being sweet. :D

Library scene and the sweet love notes. ;)

It was the playboy Goo Yung Ha (Son Joong Ki) who got attracted to her first then it was the rebellious Moon Jae Shin who protected her when he found out that she was a girl. But the upright Lee Sun Joon also fell for her despite of that he thinks she's a boy. So, he thought he was a gay. The sweet and yet emotional part of it was when Lee Sun Joon confessed his feelings towards Kim Yoon Hee even though he still thinks she's a boy and told her that he won't burden her with his feelings and that he will leave hastily from her side in order to protect her reputation...as rumors are spreading. But when he found out that she's a girl, he immediately return to Sungkyunkwan University to fought and protect his love. Aww...isn't romantic? ;)

The confession and revelation scene.

Who's Your "Absolute Boyfriend"?

Another version of Japanese Manga "Absolute Boyfriend" (Zettai Kareshi) is not yet airing and I'm so looking forward into it. The character of Izawa Riiko will be played by Goo Hye Sun (Boys Over Flower) and Wu Chun (Hana Kimi) will be the robot, Tenjo Night. Wait! Wu Chun is Taiwanese actor right? So, will it be Korean or Taiwanese version? Hmmn...

Anyway, Wu Chun will be acting as Night and that excites me even more. ;) Hayami Mokomichi was the robot in Japanese version.  I saw these photos and can't help myself to compare this two guys/robot...

Hayami Mokomichi
Wu Chun

So far for these photos...Wu Chun is my "Absolute Boyfriend" I'll just have to wait and see how's his potrayal of a perfect, ideal, humanoid boyfriend. How about you? :D

How did Joe Cheng fell in love with Ariel Lin in "They Kiss Again"?

Usually, in a series or a movie with love stories, they'll start not likng each other or a one-sided love and as the story goes on they'll both fell in love with each other. In "They Kiss Again", Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng), having an IQ of 200, attractive and popular...what he could possibly saw in Xiang Chin (Ariel Lin)? What does Xiang Chin have that Zhi Shu couldn't resist her and fell in love with her? This question of mine was answered...it's in episode 17 if I'm not mistaken. :)

Zhi Shu and his brother Yu Shu was in a room when Yu Shu asked Zhi Su why did he chose a dumb girl like Xiang Chin to be his wife...what does he saw in her? Zhi Su then explained: "It was like she had cast a magic spell. Like a broken record, she kept telling me that she loved me...it was so annoying. But when this became a regular part of my life and I took it for granted, she suddenly told me she didn't love me anymore. I can still clearly remember the nauseating feeling I had when she said that. I should have been relieved, but that didn’t seem to be the case. In this world I can do 90% of the things she cannot do. The remaining 10%, she can do that I cannot do, she can do it in a way that no one else can. It is mostly because of that she touched me."

Aww...I melted right away after watching that scene. So, he isn't perfect as what everybody seems to think of him. He needs someone like Xiang Chin to complete his life...he needs that 10% and it could only be given by Xiang Chin.

So, how about you? How many percent do you have and do you need in your partner in able to complete the 100%? ;)

Playful Kiss, Mischievous Kiss, Naughty Kiss...

After a banging hit of Taiwanese adaptation of Japanese Manga "Itazaru Na Kiss", here's another version from Korea..."Playful Kiss" or also know as Mischievous Kiss and Naughty Kiss. This is actually the third version...starting from Japan, Taiwan then Korea. How about a Filipino version? Hahaha... :D

Since knowing that Korea will having their version of It Started It With A Kiss, I've been anticipating the drama. Knowing how good looking Korean celebs are, I got excited who will play the role of Yuan Xiang Chin and Jiang Zi Shu. Then the day comes when I got the chance to watch the first episode...Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So MIn will play the role of Baek Seung Jo (Jiang Zi Shu) and Oh Ha Ni (Yuan Xiang Chin).

My reaction? It was the first time I saw Jung So Min and I was surprised that she has a resemblance with Yoon Eun Hye. Anyway, she's cute and I liked her potrayal of the role though sometimes I want more deeper reactions from her in other scenes. As to Kim Hyun Joong, well...he's sure looks attractive but he lacks in facial expression. I can't say when he's serious, angry, happy or what. I'm saying this because I've seen the Taiwanese version and I loved how Joe Cheng played the lead role. Maybe I've expected that whoever will play the lead role in this Korean version would surpassed Joe Cheng's acting. There are numerous scenes that should have a deeper emotions but I just got disappointed when I couldn't feel anything. Well, I guess they may have one story but still they'll have different versions of it.

What I liked in this version is that Oh Ha Ni is really not that stupid to look at and she dressed fashionably. She doesn't even looks ugly, she's very cute. Her friends also is not dumb, they have their own expertise but not in academics. Bong Joon Gu is also cute when he changed his hairstyle in one of the episodes. He even acts better than Baek Seung Jo when he was in pain when Oh Ha Ni and Baek Seung Jo decided to got married. He's so pityful. Poor Bong Joon Gu... :(

Title: Playful Kiss also known as Mischievous Kiss or Naughty Kiss (2010)
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Episodes: 20
Casts: Kim Hyun Joong as Baek Seung Jo
Jung So Min as Oh Ha Ni
Lee Tae Sung as Bong Joon Gu

Oh Ha Ni and her father's house collapsed due to a minor earthquake right after they moved-in. Fortunately, her father's friend offered help and asked them to move-in at their house. Unknowingly, her father's old friend is Baek Seung Jo's father. Now the two must live together in the same house. Here starts the fun and chaos while Oh Ha Ni tries to win Baek Seung Jo's heart.

Opposites Attract

Opposites really do attract...It Started With A Kiss conveyed that phrase. I once saw one episode of this drama when it was aired in the Philippines and it didn't caught my attention. I was like..."What the...???" Is she really that dumb? Does a person like her really exist? I was really annoyed with Ariel Lin's character here...even her clothes in this drama. And for Joe Cheng's character for having an IQ of 200. Whoa?! He must be in Guiness...hahaha! :D

So, in short I didn't watch it. Not after I've seen the sequel...They Kiss Again. Yes! I did watch the sequel before the first one. :D After watching They Kiss Again I became curious of what happened to them in It Started With A Kiss. While watching They Kiss Again there are episodes with flashbacks scenes of It Started With A Kiss and I told myself I have to see that scene...that "kilig" scene. ;) This drama has a lot of funny scenes to the point of being hilarious. Love watching it...it amused me so much.

Througout the time I'm watching this drama I suddenly thought that opposites really attract. Xiang Chin being dumb but optimistic and expressive of her emotions, Zhi Shu is her exact opposite...a genius with a 200 IQ and have a hard time expressing himself. There's a lot of annoying scenes between them because of Zhi Shu's coldness and harshness towards Xiang Chin specially when he gets jealous but in the end...Gee! He's the man! :D After watching this drama and the sequel I can't help myself but think...what if? What if I have a man like Jiang Zhi Shu? Life would be perfect...but then I have to be dumb like Xiang Chin. Never mind! I'm ok right now. :D

She was left humiliated publicly when Jiang Zhi Shu rejected her.

She and her father just moved in to their new house when it collapsed due to a minor earthquake and left them homeless. Fortunately, her father's old friend offered help and invites them to live in his house. Little does Yuan Xiang Chin know that his father's old friend is actually Jiang Zhi Shu's father.

Because of this unexpected events, Zhi Shu ang Xiang Chin begin their lives living in the same house. Although Zhi Shu's mother is very welcoming and like Xiang Chin for her son, Zhi Shu remained cold and harsh towards her...thinking that she's the dumbest people he has ever met. As the story goes, with Xiang Chin's perseverance Zhi Shu slowly warms to Xiang Chin and gradually fell in love with her too.

Ariel Lin as Yuan Xiang Chin
Joe Cheng as Jiang Zhi Shu

This is it...

This is really it..."The First Kiss"

The "Second Kiss" was in the hospital when Yu Shu, Zhi Shu's brother got an operation.

Finally, Zhi Shu admitting his real feelings towards Xiang Chin.

Jiang Zhi Shu: "She doesn't really understand just how much I love her."

They Kiss Again is another Taiwanese drama that I've become addicted to. This is a sequel of "It Started With A Kiss". I lost count how many times I've watched it. I was shocked and excited after seeing the first episode "honeymoon scene". Hihihi... :) Naughty me! Well, it was a very long kissing scene...and it was cut short when it was aired in the Philippines. At first, I was hesitant to watch this because I didn't watch the first series ISWAK and not interested in watching it. But after watching the first episode can't help myself but to continue watching until the end. In every episode I was always anticipating what will Zhi Shu will do to hurt Xiang Chin again and what will Xiang Chin will do to embarrass Zhi Shu again. This series brought a merry-go-round of emotions to me. One moment I was smiling then laughing then one moment I'll feel hurt and suddenly tears falling. OMG! The main characters acted so well. It looks like they're not acting at all..they look like a real couple. There were a lot of funny scenes and dialogues that will really make you laugh out loud. And of course a lot of romantic and emotional scenes. So, if you also want to have a merry-go-round ride...watch this drama. =))

The Completely Perfect Boyfriend... Robot?!

It's another day for me with nothing to do and just browsing the internet when I came up with this Japanese drama. I admit I was not a fan of the Japanese series...until I've watched Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend). I never expect that I've become engrossed in watching it. This drama was not something that could happen in real life....but I even cried more than the female lead did in this drama. It's very heartbreaking for me to have a situation that you both know you love each other but you can't be together and to realize that you love the person but you have a limited time to be together.

Well, some of us dreamt of meeting and having our own ideal boyfriend...right from his looks down to his personality, interests and hobbies. But Izawa Riiko is the only girl I've known to gets his ideal boyfriend...delivered to her doorsteps in a box. And he comes with a user manual. How cool is that, huh? :D

First few episodes of this drama wasn't that interesting. I almost gave up watching but thankfully I didn't. This drama really has the power to convey love though it has a silly concept. How could you possibly fall in love with a robot? That was my first question but... OMG! If that robot is literally you're ideal guy who could stop you from loving him. Hihihi... Am I still sane? If I were you just watch it. There's a lot of scenes in this drama that moved me...I really did cry a LOT.

Lee Seung Gi, oppa! Sarang hae...

Lee Seung Gi??? First time I saw him was in Korean Series "Shining Inheritance" that was aired in the Philippines. I didn't noticed him there, in fact I don't find him attractive at all. As I was searching the net for a top Korean series to watch "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" is always on the top list. So, I told myself..."Ok, I'll try to watch this." and oh boy! I'm glad I did. :D Never expect that I would immediately enjoy watching the first episode. Well, obviously I watched it 'till the last episode. I personally loved the Hoi Hoi scene. That was so cute... ;;) There are many scenes between the main character that are so cute! There's a "kilig" factor in it. :D This drama made me laugh and cry like crazy. If you haven't seen this drama, this is a must watch.
