Ma Boy

This was the shortest but cute Korean drama I’ve ever seen.  3 episodes and that’s it.  Funny me! I was still waiting for episode 4 and just then I’ve read that it’s only a mini-series.

This drama was a reverse role of the typical girl acting as a guy.  The guy acted as a girl to get into the school he wanted to attend to.  He dressed up as a girl.  And I was amazed with the guy acting as a girl; he indeed looks like a girl and a pretty one.  Then there’s a girl who’s a transferee in that school and she became his roommate.

One night this guy acting as a girl got sick and that was the time she discovered that he’s not really a girl. Since then the girl helped him to conceal his secret.  So, as I expected they fell in love with each other.  Then, the time has come for the guy to stop acting as a girl.  Unfortunately, the guy hasn’t got a chance to explain to the girl that he’ll be gone for a while.  So, the girl thought he abandoned her.  Then, after a year she saw him in t.v. promoting an album and he was a guy.  Surprisingly, he came back to attend in the same school as before. There they meet again and got a chance to explain to her why he was gone.

It was cute, sweet and romantic drama.  I just hope it was longer that 3 episodes.  Both lead actor and actress are good.  They look good together.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk to Leave “Star King” and “Strong Heart”

Super Junior's Leeteuk is preparing for his impending mandatory militay enlistment.  As expected, he will be leaving popular SBS variety shows "Star King" and "Strong Heart".  The singer has already left MBC's "We Got Married", which he starred as Kang Sora's virtual husband.

A source within SBS stated, "Leeteuk will be withdrawing from his following shows sometime this October."  The exact date of his departure will depend on the date of his enlistment, which has yet to be announced.  According to the production team of "Star King;, they have already filmed enough footage to air until early October.  Following Kang Ho Dong's departure from the show, Leeteuk, along with Boom and Park Mi Sun, took over as hosts for "Star King".  Additionally, Leeteuk has been part of the fixed panel on "Strong Heart" since the show's inception in 2009.

During a press conference earler this year, Leeteuk revealed that he will be joining the military sometime before the end of this year.

Rurouni Kenshin the Movie 2012

Oh yes! I’m back…it’s been more than a year since my last post.  Why? Well, geographical change of location.  My family and I moved back to our home country and since then I was a busy body.  Relocating isn’t easy…lots of stuff to do. Whew!   But it didn’t stop me from watching Asian dramasand movies.  In fact, I’ve seen a lot of good and worth watching Asian dramas.  I don’t even know which of those I shall post here first.  But I guess I have to do it one by one.

So, here is my first coming back post.  Enjoy!

Rurouni Kenshin 2012

Since I’ve read the news that Samurai X will be made into a movie I was so excited to know who will be portraying Rurouni Kenshin.  And I got really, really excited when they announced that it will be Takeru Sato who will play the role of Rurouni Kenshin.

I’ve read and heard a lot of positive feedback for this movie.  A friend of mine who have seen this movie in Japan said that it was indeed a very good live-action adaptation of the said manga.  Unlike other manga adaptation, Rurouni Kenshin the movie told the correct story. They said that it has an amazing sword fight and interesting fight scenes.  There are funny scenes that also showed in the manga.  Now, that’s get me more thrilled to watch this.  Unfortunately, there’s no news if it will be aired in our country.  Hopefully, it will…

For now here’s the Rurouni Kenshin trailer.
