Park Min Young Takes Leading Role in Upcoming October Drama

Park Min Young
Fans of Park Min Young need not wait too long to catch her on TV again.  The actress, who concludes her current SBS drama “City Hunter” this week, is reported to have confirmed being cast in a KBS drama premiering in October.

Local media quoted Park’s management, King Kong Entertainment announcing her decision to play Jae In in the tentatively titled “The Glory of Jae In.”  The drama will be in the hands of 2010’s ratings hit “Baker King Kim Tak Goo” team, director Lee Jung Seob and scenarist Kang Eun Kyung.  It has yet to cast its male lead and other members.

Park’s casting in the upcoming drama requires her to begin shooting in early September, leaving only a few weeks’ time to complete her other commitments, such as overseas photo shoots and interviews.

Her current series, “City Hunter,” starring Lee Min Ho of “Boys Over Flowers” will air its 20th and final episode on Thursday.  It has constantly topped the ratings game in the last four weeks.  Prior to “City Hunter,” Park’s star began to rise with her work in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” playing a cross-dressing female student in an all-male school.
